[A small duck-child is kneeling in a spinning desk chair in what a small handful may recognize to be Quackerjack's apartment. The child is wearing brightly-colored, soft-looking pajamas: Red with purple polka-dots. He is looking at the computer with fascination when suddenly he looks directly at the screen and gasps.]

Ooh, what's this? What is this?

[ooc| Yep, here he is, Quackerjack, aged... Seven? He might seem a bit immature, but hey, this is Quackerjack.
So, I wasn't able to get to this for a while, thus the backdating. I'm really excited to be doing this with Quacky, but I'm going to work on getting back on all my other tags over the next coupla days, too. Sorry about the wait for anyone I was threading with.]
spoilers for the end of Final Fantasy XII )

[ooc; what's relevant is the beginning part of the video before the battle with Gabranth in it and then the second video is after Vayne 'dies']

[the video from Kaito's computer clicks on to show the magician seated at is desk, which just so happens to be adjacent to Hakuba's (and for the record, the British blond is seated at his as well). They both have text books propped open in front of them, and it looks like they're hard at work studying. In the same general area, yes, but separately.

Er... well, Hakuba is studying. Kaito almost looks like he's about to doze off.

Suddenly, with his eyes still trained on his book, Hakuba leans over and slides his arm around Kaito's shoulders.

Silence follows for a moment]

Kaito: ... Hakuba, let go of me.

[Hakuba looks flushed in embarrassment and pulls away quite suddenly]

Hakuba: ... sorry.

Dropping.

Well, my friends, I'm going to have to say goodbye, at least for now. You read the header right. My characters are starting to feel more like work than play, and while I might return at some point (maybe with Elizabeth or someone new), for now we're parting ways.

I deeply regret how I'm leaving some of my castmates in the lurch, particularly Kaworu, Stefan, Fel and Jordan, but I'd rather make it a clean cut leave than dwindle out. I'd prefer it if everyone could assume that Minato is still around somewhere being his usual self, but his taxi service is no more and he's stopped logging onto the community. If you need information about NPCing him plausibly, feel free to contact me through the usual methods, but of course if we get another Minato that's all moot.

He's had a good, long run, but I've come as far as I can with the character. He's changed so much from his initial canon personality that I feel he's grown into a stable, responsible adult. And in part it feels like my work there is done. And mods, let me know if that sort of thing isn't allowed, but I thought I recalled our old Demyx doing something similar...

In any case, I can't emphasize enough how much DDD has meant to me and what a joy it's been. I've put in a lot of hours here. Keep on rocking, everyone. I greatly encourage you to friend my journal [info]vivider if you'd like to keep in touch, and I am always, always up for threads in my musebox [info]strawlaw. I adore private RP and would love to do it with you.

I might poke my head back in in the future, but like I said, for now... it's adieu.

Just so everyone knows, Europe sucks. Not sucks like “hey, I’m kind of bored” but sucks like “you know, I’m starting to miss Iowa.” Everyone planning trips to Europe should be sure they have something to fend off very angry goats with, and a handy little book that includes every swear word you need to know. Trust me, you’ll use every word in that book.

Anyway, what I actually wanted to know is if anyone needs a temp. I’m willing to do anything at this point. Hell, I’ll clean gutters, I just can’t stand Romania anymore.

I'm sorry for bothering you all but Mr. Erde's been hurt really badly! He was leaving the office late so it was dark out and at first the policeman said he had been mugged but nothing was missing and it was lucky he was walking by-- I know he'd want you all to know, even though the doctor said he'd be all right.

I've been trying to investigate the office like Mr. Erde would do but no one is taking me seriously! Mr Wright, or one of the other lawyers, would you be willing to help me? I don't think this was random, he's been very worried about safety lately...

(( By the way, an explanation for these shenanigans: innovades like Tieria are usually given ten years among society before they're terminated. Tieria is years past the deadline and has no CB-membership to protect him. ))

[As the video begins to adjust to the lighting in the room it’s rather clear that there’s something more than your usual pleasantries occurring. In fact it’s quite the opposite. There are numerous pillars of flames flaring around the room, in which the midst of all of these stands two people. One being Chrome, the other being a pink haired man with glasses. He is holding something up whilst taunting the smaller of the two.

H-hey guys. :< Bus has sad news.

You know, I've been in DDD for over a year and a half now, and I've never had more fun RPing or met such great people!

That being said I've come to realize that I just can't stay anymore. I've lost my drive and confidence for playing in an actual game, and school is turning out to be more draining than I realized.

So I've dropped both Xanxus and Lussuria, even if it kills me to leave all of you. I adore all of you, but I don't want to be a deadweight in a place full of amazing people like all of you!

I'll still be on Plurk and AIM, and everyone if free to talk to me anytime! If anyone want to, they can also RP with me at my Musebox later!

I hate to leave so suddenly, but I wouldn't make it past AC eitherway, so this is where I part!

STAY FABULOUS GUYS! I LOVE YOU ALL!!

Though knowing my inability to stay away from you people, I'll be back sooner than you think >__>

I am ashamed of every single one of you.

Seriously. You get your y-chromosome jacked so instead of having a field day boldly going where no man has gone before, you bitch the entire time?

How is it that I am the only one who would apparently have the ingenuity to do this and I am the only one who DIDN'T get turned into a chick? Absolute bullshit. I should quit this community on principle. I am morally offended.

Granted, I guess I expected it from Tommy, because he's an idiot, but the rest of you: seriously????

[Ever feel like you had a bad case of double vision? Don't worry, that's not the case here, even if the two identical nightmares sitting side by side almost give off the impression.]

[And the whole scene looks....normal. Cori 2 is carefully pulling off bandages and flexing his arm out, testing.]

[Turning to sock his twin hard across the jaw a few moments later is all part of the test too, really.]

[And here’s Cori 1, minding his own damn business—because, unlike his twin, he’s so super nice and always well behaved (may lightening strike), quietly reading a "Cracked" magazine, because there’s nothing good on television, and completely neglecting his twin.]

[Then out of the blue he’s on his back, over come by that dizzying pin-wheeling sensation and a throbbing pain in his jaw. He didn’t deserve that, did he? To the casual observer your answer would be a "no."]

[Cori 1 feels the same and doesn’t take it lying down, metaphorically speaking. After getting over the shock and realizing what just happened, because it takes a moment to register, he grabs the nearest pillow and knocks the stuffing out of it using his twin’s head.]

[And the video cuts out. Let the feathers fly.]

(( Done with Lumi's permission~ We needed some crack before the virus was out, expect replies from both nightmares >] ))

[There's a soft feminine sigh, and the creaking of a chair as Hannibal gets comfortable.]

While I am thankful to have my thumbs and hands, and my ability to speak back - I can't help but feel as though I am missing another important part of myself.

Though this is an interesting turn of events.

[As far as Azula knows, this is purely audio-- which means she doesn't know that the entire community can see her huddled under a MASSIVE pile of blankets and pillows, with only her face sticking out]

It's gone. I'm not pregnant anymore, and I never gave birth, for those of you I know are going to ask. It was never anything more than a virus-- which I knew all along, of course.

[She pauses to turn her head and bury her face into her pillow for a few seconds; when she resurfaces, her eyes are closed]

... So I suppose that for the moment, I am unaffected by anything.

[Yeah, even she knows that's not true 8|]

[feed opens in a Japanese bedroom, a familiar pair of blue jeans and a green-sleeved T-shirt lie on a desk nearby. The futon in the middle of the room has a bulge in the center, which suddenly moves towards the pillows, a red-furred muzzle digging its way free as a paw joins it to touch the muzzle slowly, identifiying it by touch. A frustrated noise follows as whatever is under the blanket disappears back underneath slightly and a loud, annoyed-sounding yip follows.]

((OOC: She's calling for Renamon at the end of that))

((OOC Edit: Going out for the day, will tag when I get back))
[Herr Nudist is sitting there once more, the camera cutting off right above his mouth. He's still naked, as always, just because he just got out of the bath. You don't see much, but suddenly the arms start to move, and Herr Contra Mundi starts dancing on this throne, wings fluttering as he dances]

I want your love and I want your revenge, you and me can write a bad romance ~ Oh oh oh ho oh ~ ♥ I wonder who I have to thank for that one! I think that might be our new battle cry, don't you think Marionettenspieler?

Hmmm, all these viruses are so much fun, don't you think?

[ooc; this is all waffle and tommy mun's fault.]

Could anyone be so nice as to give me a hop over to Tommy's place?

Promise I won't hurt him, this is strictly a pleasant visit between two men and 3 X chromosomes.

((OOC: Still affected by the gender virus, hence the still weird LJ name.)

Those were "viruses"? I'm glad I didn't get hit.

It seems like a lot of trouble to stay here. You all do, though.

I apologize to our dear Detective Kid for frightening him, but as it happens, I reserve the right to make use of any and all of my abilities during a heist.

Speaking of which, I do hope the lovely Miss Trucy Wright is free this weekend. I'd very much like to stop by on my way home from stealing the Eye of the Dragon, as I shall do tomorrow night~

...

I think I've been approaching things the wrong way. Heisting, detective work... there's a reason it hasn't been working.

I don't want Pandora, and I never have. So why am I wasting my time looking for it?

I'm going after her.

[The video clicks on, and it's on purpose because staring right at the camera is a rather angry looking one of these. The snake hisses, then gives a scared startle at the sound before the tail moves to switch to type.]

Between the Cracks

" 'There seems something more speakingly incomprehensible in the powers, the failures, the inequalities of memory, than in any other of our intelligences. The memory is sometimes so retentive, so serviceable, so obedient-at others, so bewildered and so weak-and at others again so tyrannic, so beyond control!-We are sure to be a miracle in every way-but our powers of recollecting and of forgetting do seem peculiarly past finding out.'
